I’m mid-download as I type. This is perfect cause I’m flying tomorrow and was just thinking that I need something new to listen to. Can’t wait to hear it!!!

  2. Geof F. Morris says:

I am Geof Morris, and I approve of this EP.

  3. elijah says:

Does the link take anyone else to the AO.net?

  4. Lydia Presley says:

    Perfect. Love it, love it.

  5. Hunter Chorey says:

Awesome, thanks, Andy! Can’t wait to give it a spin. :)

  6. Josh Stockment says:

“talk about the effects of time”??? -Haha you’re probably the only person who could pull that line off in that context

  7. wally says:

    wooooooot.

can’t wait to give it a good listen many, many times. :)

  8. elijah says:

So, no one else is having any trouble downloading this. That is more than a little bit aggravating.

  9. Joey says:

Until the link is fixed, just copy and paste the URL into you search bar and it should start downloading.

  10. Gabe Aguilar says:

The link takes me to a page on andrewosenga.net that says “you cannot download this file”.

  11. Mark Miller says:

    Boo yah!!!

  12. wally says:

    i d/l it no problem.

  13. Supa says:

Wooohooo! Just started up Letters II, you rock for putting these eps together Andy.

  14. Gabe Aguilar says:

I got it working. Canada is awesome. Very Sondre Lerche. Good work.

  15. Jared says:

Wonderful!!!! Absolutely Wonderful!! Sounds awesome! Four Horses rocks! If you ever play it with a full band you must post the audio here! SO GOOD!!!!!!!

  16. wally says:

jared, maybe geof got it the other night if andy sang it.

  17. elijah says:

What worked for you, Gabe? I’m still having trouble.

  18. Andrew says:

Wow… Andy, that was a rocking (can you say rocking with a hard g?), very honest, wonderful EP. And, as a displaced Canadian, Canada just about made me cry. I know the “fun” song shouldn’t do that, but hey… what can I say… obscure Dave Thomas/Rick Moranis references will do that to me.

    Thanks.

  19. elijah says:

    Problem solved.

  20. Jud says:

Hmm, do I listen to this now and watch Fringe later, or vice versa? Tough call.

  21. Andrew Groves says:

Holy cow! It’s so good, I just can’t stop listening! :)

  22. Jud says:

Ok not really; thank goodness for DVRs!

And on a somewhat unrelated note, I’m stoked for the show this Saturday night. It’ll be my first live Caedmon’s show since you joined the band, which is a sad commentary on my busy life. If I get a chance and its not too insane I’ll stop and say hi.

  23. danny says:

this is exciting. i can’t wait to listen.

  24. silentfool says:

    WOOOOHOOO!!!

my day just went from dull to sublime.

  25. John Moody says:

“You could be my Geddy Lee.”

    Freakin’ awesome.

  26. gfmorris says:

Elijah: Sorry for the problems. Turns out the practice of giving the zipfiles friendly names made some of the download-counting we were doing go south. This affected only Safari users, as far as I can tell. As you probably know, Andy and I worked this fix on the fly.

I don’t remember if Andy sang “Four Horses” the other night or not. I’ll know tomorrow or Thursday when I release my bootleg.

  27. Jason T says:

Wow. Let us know You. What an encouragement. It’s a blessing to have been a part of this and to be a part of the Body of Christ fumbling down the road together! Andy, i’ve heard you and Alison together before. But i don’t know if you’ve ever turned her voice up as much as on Canada. You guys sound Wonderful together! THANKS ANDY!

  28. Peter Gaultney says:

3:42, eh? Man, I seriously missed out on this one until now? Grrr.

I guess I’ll listen to it tomorrow? =(

  29. elijah says:

Thanks, Geof. No problem. I was just chomping at the bit to hear this. My eagerness certainly was rewarded. What a great set of songs.

  30. Dusty says:

Andy, Letters II is awesome. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I also wanted to say thanks for being the super cool artist that you are. I really appreciate the relationship you have with your fans. Not many artists take suggestions from their fans and turn them into albums, or let them do backup vocals for one of their songs. That type of artist/fan relationship is something that’s rare. I became an Andy Osenga fan about 3 or 4 years ago when Caedmon’s was doing a show at Southeastern Baptist Seminary, I’m in their undergrad program, for a collegiate conference they were putting on. After the show I somehow ended up in the same room as Garret and Andy and we talked for a while about John Piper and Christian Hedonism, though I don’t remember the actual term coming up, anyway, Andy was a real down to earth guy who actually seemed to care about the Caedmon’s fans. Due to that type of relationship that Andy has with his fans, he has been one my favorite artists ever since

  31. keith says:

… Jesus is the only thing that has given me freedom from the dirty mirrored view of myself. The tiny glimpses of Him I’ve experienced over the past few years have given me a freedom miles beyond “when I die I’ll go to heaven.” I want to know Jesus more deeply, and I want you too as well.

    Thank you.

  32. jason says:

    Andy:
Thanks. I am speechless. My mom will love this. You are one of a kind.

  33. Ryan Smith says:

Hey, i still can’t get it. I’m using Firefox on a Mac. It keeps giving me a page load error and saying the network timed out. It says the server is “taking too long to respond.” I also tried the copy and paste thing. Any other thoughts?

  34. Tom Bubb says:

It’s hard to say anything that hasn’t already been said but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Letters Vol II! My favorite song is alternating between Four Horses and Canada right now I love’em both and I love all the other songs as well. The full-on duet with Alison was a very nice surprise you two sound fantastic together!

    Peace,
    Tom Bubb

  35. (Another Josh) says:

    frikkin’ gorgeous.

i’m on my second spin of the day.

    this sounds so good.

  36. David Costa says:

    What a beautiful surprise today!
I’m loving how it sounds. It’s so beautiful it hurts…
    Congratulations!

  37. Jay says:

Good stuff. Thanks for the “pay what you feel it’s worth” option.

  38. Robb says:

Rockin’ good. It’s all I’ve been listening to this morning.

  39. Daryl says:

    Hey Andy,

Daryl here from California. We met briefly after the Caedmon’s show in Austin back in March. Letters II is awesome! You should you know how much your music appreciated, even all the way out here in Cali. Also, since this is the first time I’ve actually posted, let me just throw it out there that “Swing Wide The Glimmering Gates” and “Hold The Light” are huge encouragements and just plain amazing songs. One of these days I need to fly out to Nashville and catch one of your solo shows. Keep up the great work!

  40. Mark S. says:

    Andy,

What license are these songs released under? What kind of reuse do you grant (if any)?

  41. Peter Gaultney says:

Your wife has a beautiful voice. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  42. Don says:

Fantastic. Every song is a keeper. Being a Rush fan, I loved the Geddy reference. Thanks, Andy.

  43. Geof F. Morris says:

The download counter’s pretty close to 800.

Just think … if everyone gave Andy $5 for this, he’d have a couple mortgage payments, a car payment, and diapers for a bit. So think about doing that, eh?

  44. Greg says:

Great work Andy. Loved the line about the mountie. You know, Jesus is like a mountie. He always gets his man.

And he’ll zap you anyway he can.

    Zap.

Go ahead and admit that Sonseed helped inspire that song… we’ll all understand.

  45. reuben says:

andy, you rock my face off. LTTE II is amazing. thanks for working so hard at your art and for putting into words things most of us only feel. God bless you brother.

  46. Bo D. says:

Love the album…especially four horses, Canada, Let Us Know You.

The strongest parts are the cry of “After Darkness, Light” in “Four Horses” and the last minute and a half of Let “Us Know You” where you (basically) just put beautiful music to paraphrased Scripture. That was powerful.

I have a strong inclination that Vol. 1 will have more lasting power as in how the songs touch me and stick with me.

But this is a strong effort and you are obviously growing as a producer. The production in Vol. 2 seems to be better than Vol. 1.

  47. Nate says:

Great music Andy O. Keep up the good work.

  48. wally says:

i just send in my donation. no more cheques. :)

after letters 2, if i didn’t send anything i should never be allowed to listen to an andy song again.

keep giving guys so you don’t have to hear from jerry lewis…uh, i mean geof morris again.

happy spending andy and alison. :)

  49. Daryl says:

“But I’m easily distracted, easily easily distrac…”

    Brilliant. Just brilliant.

  50. Kurt says:

    4 horses=amazing

  51. bobw says:

thank you very much. your songwriting and generous spirit are both very inspiring. “let us know you” has blessed us so much in a very trying time.

  52. janelle says:

I may be a little slower in the tech arena… trying to download. I select the “run” option which then opens it somewhere in a folder. Upon clicking on each song they open in my itunes – great. Well then when I go back to listen to them in my itunes, I get a message saying, “the song could not be used because the original file could not be found.” Can anyone offer any help? Thanks.

  53. Clint says:

Great to catch up with you again. Thanks for your dedication and open-ness about everything from faith to family. It’s quite the inspiration and I’m happy to donate to your work…even in these dark economic times!

  54. Barry Wallace says:

Awesome CD. Thanks for the download.

  55. Matt Nightingale says:

Volume One was wonderful. “Swing Wide the Glimmering Gates” is my fave Osenga song ever. Looking forward to this. THANK YOU!!

  56. Lucinda says:

Your dad pointed me to this…can’t wait to hear it!

  57. Natalie Peake says:

This is awesome! I am so glad that my friend introduced me to your music we where in Pikachu, crazy, fun filled day!

  58. Natalie Peake says:

This is awesome, I am so glad that my friends introduced me to you. Though not personally!

  59. Eric Lindquist says:

I have just started hosting an Internet Radio Program featuring artists who are creatively and thoughtfully dealing with spiritual issues and themes. I will be featuring some of your music on the show. If you have the chance give a listen to “The Deep End” on http://www.utahfm.org on Sundays from 5-8pm Eastern Standard Time.

  60. Paul says:

Hi Andy, I just thanked you with my wallet, but i wanted to thank you with words, too. These two EPs have been amazing from a lyrical standpoint. Nearly every time i listen to them, i weep. Thank you for your vulnerability – God is watching and will reward your service to your brothers and sisters.

  61. McDozer says:

Your voice sounds so similar to that of Andy Gullahorn (another Christian singer from the acoustic corner) that I’m not sure if you’re not him with a moustache glued on, which is just something Andy G. might do…
