Saw you all in Austin Friday night, and you can’t come back soon enough - it was great!
Not trying to gang up, but I’ve never heard of or seen a “Texas Burger”, either - but next time you’re in Austin, you gotta go to Hut’s down on 6th street.
There is a Texas Burger in College Station. I ate it. (Not the whole place, just the burger.) I regret it. Whataburger is waaaaay better. Crap, any burger at Chilis is better.
Contrary to popular belief, just because it’s got “Texas” on it, don’t make it right.
Great show in Dallas. Hey, Derek broke a whole string and couldn’t finish his solo, and with the mic short-outs I think no one noticed one wrong note. You should put up a live version like what you did in Dallas of “All the Wrong Reasons,” I loved it. My wife (Michelle Nix now Nelson) told her parents to go with your parents up to see you in Chicago, so give them a good show!
hilarious. from my brief travels with the band last August I can attest to Andy’s undying love and devotion to burgers. Honestly, I’m betting the burgers weren’t even that special, the band was just trying to bust Andy’s stones for eating the salad.
oh and Andy, tell Cliff and Jeff I took a shot at them in prediction #6 of my baseball preview:
In case you’re wondering, I happened to catch Andy’s “really wrong note” in this video: Check out Josh Moore’s face when it happens. Andy is off camera to the left…
this would be the more literal interpretation of his famous saying. context - much of what we do in life, especially as christians can have both a righteous and unrighteous affect.
for instance. if i were to buy back a child in slavery today, would i be contributing to the slave market? let your sin be strong.
if my parents want me to be a banker, but God is calling me to full time ministry should i honor my parents? let your sin be strong.
if i hit someone in order to protect someone else am i sinning? let your sin be strong.
and so on.

Nice choice with the Lyle Lovett there at the end

The show in Dallas was great. I had to get a new face after I left because Andy rocked mine off with his guitar solo during “Hold The Light.”
For the record, I’m from Texas, have traveled all over it, and I have never seen or heard of a “Texas Burger.”

Lyle is a great choice, especially since he went to the same high school as Derek Webb and Aaron Tate.
I am on call for work, but I hope to catch the show tomorrow in the Woodlands.
